Laurie Elyse will be throwing a collection showcase during SXSW in Austin, TX. The trunk show will take place at Wild About Music on March 19th starting at 6PM on famous 6th Street. The Spring 2010 collection is coming and will be making it's runway debut in Santa Monica on August 13th, 2009. We are proud to announce that we will be working with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society of Southern California on this amazing event and they will be the recipients of profits from the new MS Charity pieces shown. The 2010 collection will be including pieces in collaboration with the newly founded Ford Guitars. The Texas based company is operated by former Halo Guitars designer and founding partner Waylon Ford.

The spring fashion shows are right around the corner and the collection is in the works. There will be more MS charity swimwear, chic patterns, vibrant colors, twists on classics, and a few surprises. More information will be available soon!

We are very happy to announce that the Laurie Elyse Spring 2009 women's swimwear & clothing collection is now on display. A part of the 2009 Spring collection is an exclusive collaboration with Halo Guitars, of Houston, TX. The pieces all focus on co-founder Waylon Ford's favorite guitar The Reaper.

Laurie's statement::
"I came to work with Halo Guitars after meeting co-founder Waylon Ford at the NAMM show a couple years back. I loved their style and their attitude towards music and the industry. My inspiration for the line was to give the fashion world some true rock and roll clothes that are unlike anything on the market that carry the claim of rock and roll wear. The feel of the pieces are dark and sexy, while still fun and youthful. They are for the girl that doesn't want to have the same swimsuit or dress as everyone else in the crowd. This is no collection for wallflowers!"

The Spring 2009 women’s swimwear and clothing collection is offering three unique swimsuit styles with company profits to be donated for Multiple Sclerosis research. The Designer herself was diagnosed with MS October 11th, 2007.

Laurie's Statement:
"After being diagnosed I came to realize that there is not as much hype or even knowledge of the disease and therefore a serious lack of funding. Not everything should be going to breast cancer. Enough! I feel it is time to focus on other illnesses that are still far from treatable or even close to cure-able. MS is still known as the mystery disease with no scientifically known causes or truly 100% effective treatment. Most of the treatments available are still considered experimental. The world is still completely in the dark and though it remains more rare than other illnesses it is in desperate need of help.

As a MS patient myself I created these looks as a reflection of hope while carrying the image of a brighter tomorrow, a world without MS. They are bright and shimmer with holographic durable material that has a long life and radiates positivity, while still remaining original and cutting edge. These looks are fashion for a cause!"

Some brand new images featuring select items from the new 2009 Spring Collection by Laurie Elyse have been posted in the ALBUM section. These images will be used for promotion by Halo Guitars.

Her use of lace to create a spider web effect on swimsuit bottoms and checkered visqueen skirt cover will no doubt make a splash with the rock fashion circle. Her designs are carried in music stores throughout the U.S."
